Positive: People tried ardently to fix the unfortunate mistakes that were made: right up to the final bill that charged us nearly $300 more than we should have been. Many people were sorry and worked quickly to rectify, but the bumps made it a rocky stay.
Negative: There were consistent problems-nothing ran smoothly for us and that was really unfortunate as this was my Mother’s Day gift. I had prepaid for three components to be in our room upon arrival- not one was there. While we went swimming they tried to fix it but set up a different room special offered on their website. I called down again stating exact what I had already paid for. Then it was brought up. As I said, I prepaid but I was charged for it AGAIN at checkout-only noticing after the card was ran. Another bump. At my Mother’s Day meal, additionally, everything took forever to arrive (40 minutes for our drinks!) Then food came late, and one manager said there would be compensation but he came back to tell us our food was on time (no not at all) and he rescinded said compensation! Though they covered our Valet Parking and gave us Marriott points equalling $90 the bumps still remain. A memorable Mother’s Day for the wrong reasons.
Summary: Spending $$$$$ doesn’t mean a Smooth Ride!
